How does VIN Doc protect data?
API access is authenticated with secret keys you control and can rotate or revoke at any time, and traffic is served over encrypted connections. We process data in line with applicable regulations and do not retain search inputs beyond what is needed to deliver and account for your reports.
Is payment processing secure?
All payments are processed through certified, trusted payment providers, and we never store your full card details. Transactions are protected with industry-standard encryption.
What data is collected through the API?
We collect your account email and name (if provided), payment details (handled by our payment provider), the API keys you create, and the VIN or plate identifiers you query, along with standard request metadata such as IP address. Our Privacy Policy details every processing activity.
Can I request deletion of my data?
Yes. Under GDPR you can request deletion of your personal data at any time, contact support or use the option in your account settings. Requests are processed within 30 days, subject to the retention obligations described in our Privacy Policy.
